When Should You See a General Surgeon?
Many people delay visiting a surgeon until their condition becomes severe.
1. Persistent Abdominal Pain
Pain lasting more than a few days could indicate appendicitis or gallstones.
2. Unexplained Lumps
Any new lump persisting for more than two weeks should be evaluated.
3. Difficulty Swallowing
Progressive difficulty could indicate esophageal problems.
4. Rectal Bleeding
Should always be evaluated to rule out serious conditions.
5. Unexplained Weight Loss
Losing weight without trying warrants investigation.
